Kingdom Ambassadors!

The modest etymology of an ambassador portrays him as a messenger and representative. Thus, an ambassador for Christ is a messenger of God. Once a man knows Christ as his Lord and Saviour, he is an ambassador of the Kingdom of God (2 Cor 5:20).

The Bible aptly tells us that we are a chosen generation (1 Pet 2:9) sent by God (Isaiah 48:16) to the world to preach the good news (Mark 16:15). Therefore, do not wait until an angel appears to you before you preach.

Being a good ambassador who would fulfil purpose has prerequisites. These include:

  • Act according to God’s will (John 6:38)
  • Do not commend yourself on the work which is not you but God’s doing (2 Cor 10:12,18)
  • Represent HE who sent you (God) and not yourself (Exo 5:1,1 Sam 17:45-47)
  • Have the knowledge of HE who sent you (Matt 5:48,Gen 17:1)

It is trite to note that many ambassadors have fallen because they lacked the above qualities.

Therefore, let us depend on heaven for our needs and never complain. Continually wait patiently on Him (Psalm 37:7;24:3, Rom 10:11).
SHALOM.
