DESPISE NOT HIS CHASTENING

psalm-29-vs-1-despise-not-his-chastening
A lexicographer’s knowledge of etymology and coinage of words would elude him in the mention of God’s qualities. A few of them include being good, merciful and patient. He forgives our sins and endures all we do. However all these work towards a sinners’ complete repentance (See Romans 2:4)

God has all these attributes and qualities mentioned above to facilitate repentance from evil ways and true change. Taking these qualities for granted would therefore mean a consciously dug grave and persons involved would suffer dire consequences without remedy. (see Proverbs 29:1).

If there is a plea to disengage and discontinue an act, please adhere. If it seems difficult to stop, seek the face of the Lord, asking Him to help you “because you cannot do it on your own” (see John 15:5c)

The next thing is to seek His face with FAITH. Hebrews 11:1-2 says,

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen… For by it, elders obtained a good testimony.”

Therefore to receive a good testimony, Faith in God is necessary. Shalom
